  1. Angband RISC OS Text Release 2

  4. This is a version of Angband that runs outside the desktop in
  5. mode 14. This is faster than the desktop version, and displays
  6. better colours. To use it, replace the !Run and !RunImage
  7. files in the !Angband application with the files supplied
  8. here. It doesn't require the Messages and Res files from
  9. that application either, so you can remove them.
  10. Don't forget to take a backup!

  12. You can also use the !RunImage file as a stand-alone
  13. Angband executable. It may run on RISC OS 2 (but I'm not
  14. sure). It requires Angband$Path to point to the Angband
  15. lib directory, but apart from that requires no other
  16. external support (it doesn't require the Toolbox modules,
  17. for example).

  19. The text version behaves almost identically to the desktop
  20. version (except for the lack of Recall and Choices windows,
  21. of course).

  23. You can press Ctrl-C to quit (equivalent to the desktop Angband
  24. Quit menu item).

  26. This separate text release will be dropped in the next version,
  27. unless I hear strong complaints. Instead, the main executable
  28. will have a "full-screen" option.
